I have gone crazy for ballet flats this season and have become a huge Melossa fan buying for myself and gifting. These little flats are purely adorable... feminine, cute on the foot, go with anything. HOWEVER, and it's a Big However... these are somehow even less supportive than being barefoot! How is that even possible? Well, these are an extremely low profile shoe, which adds to theor cuteness, but the inaole provided manages to be less than nothing. I tried to supplement that insole with 2 different additional ones, but with the extremely low profile and narrow insole cut, the first added insole warped the shape of the shoe, and the second (a more successful gel insole) has helped, but ANY additional space requirement makes this shoe heavier and a challenge to keep on my foot. Also, the insole provided cannot be just replaced because the actual sole is totally soft and the original insole is what makes it have a sole (hardness) at all! If I could rate on cuteness, these would be a solid 5! However, at this price point, these darlings should have a Hugely better original insole than provided. So, these particular Melissa shoes are a beautiful BUST, imo. C'mon now....! For this kind of money, these could be a TON better. Love aspects of these flats, but DO NOT recommend.
